Narag Law Office was founded in 2015 by Atty. Mario P. Narag Jr., a seasoned legal professional with a distinguished career. His journey includes positions as an Audit Manager, Senior Auditor, and Regional Operations Manager before transitioning into law. Atty. Narag is a member of various professional organizations and has an impressive educational background.

Atty. Mario P. Narag, Jr., CPA

Managing Lawyer

Atty. Mario P. Narag, Jr., CPA, REB had worked with Philam Life as Senior Claims  Manager and Regional Operations Manager. Before that, he was an Audit Manager (Ionics Circuits, Inc.),  a Senior Auditor (Joaquin Cunanan & Co/Price Waterhouse Coopers), a Presidential Staff Officer (PMS,  Malacañang), and an External Auditor (SGV & Co.). He does trial, litigation and corporate lawyering. He  is a member of IBP Isabela Chapter, PICPA Cagayan Chapter, Free and Accepted Masons of the Philippines  and Shriners International. He was a member the Institute of Internal Auditors, Government Association of  CPAs and the Life Insurance Claims Association of the Philippines. Atty. Narag is a Fellow of the Life  Management Institute, an Associate in Insurance Regulatory Compliance, Reinsurance Administration,  Insurance Agency Administration, and in Customer Service. He is an Internal Quality Auditor and a Career  Service Professional. While working as Regional Operations Manager for Northeast Luzon at Philam Life,  he pursued law by attending night classes at the University of La Salette (Santiago City) and passed the  2008 bar exams. He was President of the College of Law Student Council. In 1996, he earned MBA units  at the Ateneo de Manila University. From St. Paul University, Tuguegarao City, he got his associate degree  in government accounting and Auditing as a Government Scholar in 1988 and his Accounting Degree in  1989. He passed the CPA board exams the following year. He was a Student Council President for two  terms and was President of the Government Scholars & Grantees Club. He handles corporate rehabilitation  and asset foreclosure cases. He is also a graduate of BS in Real Estate Management from the i-Academy in Makati City and has passed the board examinations for Real Estate Brokers (17th placer, 87% rating).  

Atty. Mary Fatima Ligan-Sumira hails from Bacoor City, Cavite and Cebu.  She finished her Bachelor of Laws in 2018 and her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2013, both from  the University of Santo Tomas. She was admitted to the bar in 2019. Prior to her joining Narag Law Office  in 2021, she had worked for two years as Senior Associate at BDO – Roxas Cruz Tagle & Co., one of the  world’s top Accounting Firms. She was part of said firm’s Corporate and Private Client Services Group.  As an Associate Lawyer, Atty. Ligan-Sumira handles the firm’s corporate clients. She is likewise heavily  involved in the litigation of civil, criminal, labor and special proceedings cases. She had her internships at  the Commission on Elections – Office of the Deputy Executive Director for Administration and the Court  of Appeals.

Senior Associate Lawyer

Atty. Tom Lance G. Angeles rejoined the company after leaving it for a while to take the bar examinations in 2021. After passing the bar examinations, he went on to practice in a law firm in BGC, Taguig City handling mostly cases involving collections for a year and decided to come back recently. He is now handling corporate, civil, criminal and labor cases. 

He finished his BS Legal Management (2016, Dean’s Lister) and Law (2020) degrees at the San Beda University- Mendiola. During his stay at Narag Law Office as Paralegal he assisted the lawyers in preparing pleadings, affidavits, contracts and position papers.  He was also involved in property registration and estate settlement.

Joshua Nathaniel Cruz Reyes

Associate Lawyer

Atty. Joshua Nathaniel Cruz Reyes joined the firm in February 2019 as Paralegal and is has been promoted as Associate Lawyer after passing the 2023 Bar Examinations. He has either handled or assisted in practically all types of cases accepted by the firm. He has appeared as attorney-in-fact of clients who preferred to just be represented instead personally appearing in hearings and/or conferences. His thorough researches and documentations have yielded mostly positive results for the firm and its clients. Aside from assisting in the court cases, including those in the NLRC, DOLE, HLURB, BOC and the Prosecutor’s Office, Josh also works on property registration and, corporate documentation and research.

He is a graduate UP Manila, finishing Political Science in 2017, Cum Laude. He initially pursued Juris Doctor as a full scholar at the Ateneo de Manila University School of Law. He just graduated from the School of Law of San Beda Alabang as a working student. In the School of Law, he was the President of the Legal Aid Center handling pro bono cases. In UP, he was student head of UP Ugnayan ng Pahinungod-Tutorial Services Program and was the Vice Chairperson UP Political Science Society.

Filbert Anthony B. Mejorada

Senior Paralegal

Filbert Anthony B. Mejorada is completed his Juris Doctor degree as a working student with the City University of Pasay. He initially went to the University of the Philippines in Cebu and then to Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa for his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science degree (batch 2018).  He was a Iskolar ng Bayan and a Dean’s Lister (GWA 1.30). He passed the Civil Service Professional Examinations with a rating of 84.21% in March 2017 before he even graduated from college. Before coming to the firm, Fil had been a technical assistant for External Relations and Legal Department in Belle Corporation (Subsidiary of SM Investments Corp.) for 3 years handling applications for permits and licenses with the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development, Local Government Units, and other agencies. He also representative said company in transactions before the RD, BIR, DAR and other agencies and liaised with the Courts and other quasi-judicial bodies, Fil had also worked (part-time as a student) as a paralegal and legal researcher in two private law firms in Pasay City, responsible for the clerical and administrative work of said law firms. He assisted lawyers and their clients in relation to queries and cases.

Renz Joseph P. Legaspi

Paralegal

Renz Joseph P. Legaspi is currently a diligent and motivated law student at the School of Law of San Beda College Alabang, where he is anticipated to partake in the bar examinations in 2025. His academic journey commenced with the completion of a Legal Management degree at the same prestigious institution. Renz gained invaluable experience as an intern at the Senate of the Philippines- Legislative Parliamentary Counseling Service, where he honed his skills and developed a deeper understanding of legal practices and procedures. Notably, Renz actively participated as a member of the Junior Bedan Law Circle at the School of Law Centralized Bar Operation. 

Within our office, Renz plays a pivotal role in supporting our legal team through research activities and the preparation of vital documents such as pleadings, position papers, affidavits, and contracts. In addition, he is actively involved in conducting interviews with clients and witnesses and diligently represents our office at hearings in important venues such as the DOLE, NLRC, and the Prosecutor’s Office.

JOHN MELITON M. MATA

Paralegal

John Meliton M. Mata completed his first year of law school at the College of Law of San Beda College – Alabang, he recently joined our firm with the goal of graduating in 3 years. He achieved top honors (Cum Laude) in Legal Management, his pre-law degree from the same school. He is an active member of the Vol Corps, Junior Bedan Law Circle, and Centralized Bar Operations, student organizations that are deeply involved in supporting bar takers. He received comprehensive training, equipping him to skillfully assist lawyers in drafting pleadings and affidavits, engaging with clients, addressing legal concerns, and handling administrative task in firm during his internship.

He  plays a crucial role now in supporting our legal team by preparing pleadings and position papers, conducting in-depth research, interviewing clients and witnesses, and representing clients at hearings in various government bodies such as DOLE, NLRC, BIR, RD, and the Prosecutor’s Office.

AUDRE GARETT M. BALAYAN

Paralegal

Audre Garett M. Balayan  recently joined the firm after completing his first year of  law schooling at the Faculty of Civil Law of University of Santo Tomas. He hopes to graduate in 3 years.  He finished his pre-law from the same school with degree in Economics, Magna Cum Laude (0.03 short  of Summa Cum Laude). His relevant coursework includes Micro and Macro Economics, Business Analytics, Econometrics, Mathematical Economics, Financial Economics, Project Development and Research. During undergraduate days, he was an  Editor in Chief of the Equilibrium, a UST Economic Society, from June 2022 to June 2023. He also served as an Assistant Vice President for the Research Committee of the UST Economics Society and was a member of the UST CBASC Executive Board. He conducted undergraduate research titled ” The Effect of Price and Non-Price Factors on the Alcoholic Beverage Consumption of Millennials in the City of Caloocan:, which received a final grade of 1 and has a Digital Object Identifier (DOI). 

He assists the lawyers in preparation of various legal documents, including pleadings, position papers, affidavits, and contracts. Furthermore, he conducts client and witness interviews for both criminal and civil cases. At present, he is engaged in handling SEC compliance and providing corporate support to lawyers for our retained companies.

Juvilyn Galang Bulo, REB joined the firm in 2015 and now manages the day-to-day operations of the firm including schedules, consultations, engagement contracts, billings and records keeping/monitoring. She sees to it that deadlines are recorded and met. She makes sure that the logistical needs of the lawyer and paralegals are duly provided for.  She also doubles as a paralegal for estate settlement and property registration.

She finished her Certificate in Information Technology in 2007 and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 2010 at CVCITC in Santiago City as a scholar. She presented her thesis (Title: Sources of Stress Among College Students), on invitation, I’COM 2012 in UUM, Penang Malaysia. She is a Licensed Insurance Professional, a former Financial Advisor of Philamlife and was once a Senior Beauty Consultant of Mary Kay Philippines.

She is a graduate of BS in Real Estate Management Fast Track Program from the i-Academy in Makati City and has passed the board examinations for Real Estate Brokers (85% rating).

Juvilyn Galang Bulo

Finance and Administration Manager

April Joy B. Landicho joined our law office as an on-the-job trainee during her fourth year in college in 2020. Her exceptional work ethic and outstanding performance impressed the firm, and she was appointed as administrative staff in 2021. Throughout her academic journey, Joy consistently achieved dean’s list status at PUP. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Office Administration, majoring in Legal Transcription, and also holds a Diploma in Office Management. 

Joy’s role in providing comprehensive support to our lawyers and ensuring the efficient functioning of our office is crucial and she does it with utmost dedication. In addition, she offers her expertise to government agencies such as DAR, SEC, LGU, BIR, and LRA, further showcasing her capabilities.Most of her projects involve estate settlements with three generations of family members, which requires comprehensive due diligence, registration, and facilitation of transfer of title and tax declaration.

April Joy B. Landicho

Shane Kaye Ocampo Alindajao  became an integral part of our law office as an administrative staff member in 2021. Her journey with the firm began in 2020 when she embarked on an on-the-job training program during her final year in college. Thanks to her exceptional performance and dedication, we offered her a permanent role in the firm. Shane’s academic record is nothing short of remarkable. After graduating with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Office Administration with a major in Legal Transcription from PUP, she consistently earned the titles of dean’s lister and president’s lister. Additionally, she holds a Diploma in Office Management Technology, showcasing her strong educational background and expertise. 

As part of our team, Shane takes on various responsibilities, including maintaining records using a computerized and ‘5S’ system, overseeing the receipt and release of legal documents, and managing client communications. Her meticulous approach ensures that no records are misplaced and no deadlines are overlooked. Moreover, she plays a crucial role in billing preparation and expense tracking, showcasing her versatile skill set and unwavering commitment to the firm’s success.

Administrative Assistant II

Elizabeth C. Dela Cruz recently joined our law office as administrative staff after completing her On-the-Job Training (OJT) with us. She completed her BS in Office Administration at the University of Makati, where she has consistently made the Dean’s List. 

As part of her role, Beth takes charge of managing the notary and three lawyers who are notary public. Her leadership ensures that we submit notarized documents to the Office of the Clerk of Court with precision and efficiency. She also supports the office manager by handling front desk duties, receiving appointments, and managing correspondence with government and private offices. Her meticulous approach ensures that all incoming and outgoing correspondence is accurately recorded and reported. In addition to her regular duties, Beth handles special projects such as SEC registration and amendments for various companies, including those involved in lending and real estate. She is also involved in visa applications and the registration and processing of notices of birth, death, and marriage with the Department of Foreign Affairs.
